Food Desert is an urban area in which it is difficult to buy affordable or good-quality fresh food. So what’s a possible solution? Growing some of your own food. AGcess, brings FARM2TABLE Education to provide agricultural education to communities
AGcess developed the agricultural summer program, Fresh Access Project. The Fresh Access Project is an educational workbook designed to educate youth about urban food deserts, importance of soil, plant profile and cycle, and FARM2TABLE. Hands-on experience is available through the program, from planting vegetables in planters that youth are able to take home, installing raised garden beds, and cooking classes using coming garden ingredients.
